The SRCOC Youth Ministry is unique in that it has in it’s staff educational professionals.
Our leadership has and understanding, appreciation, and a love for children. Our Minister Edward L. Maxwell, has served in the field of education for over twenty five years as a Teacher, Counselor, and Administrator. The experience has given him a great sense of awareness of today’s teens and their needs.
At Suitland Road COC youngsters are prepared today to be leaders of tomorrow. The young men and the young ladies learn to serve and participate in the areas of worship, take active roles in the various ministries, and fully participate in all church activities and programs.
At SRCOC youngsters elementary through high school receive the attention and instruction necessary for character development, sound moral maturity, and a wholesome relationship with Jesus Christ by which they can develop their own faith. We offer the following as a service to the Suitland community:
– Back To School Program – Young Men Leadership Training
– October Festival – Youth Mentor Program
– Youth Chorus – Youth Community Service Program
– Regional Youth Conferences – Regional Retreats
– Field Trips (local & out of state)
