Suitland Road Church of Christ Full-Time Pulpit Minister-Job Opening
The Suitland Road Church of Christ located in Suitland, Maryland is currently seeking a full-time Pulpit Minister We are searching for “ A man of God” who is Biblically sound and spiritually grounded. He must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience preaching and teaching biblically-based sermons and lessons with everyday application to life in Christ at a Church of Christ congregation. He must be humble, self-disciplined, responsible, and organized. He must have strong interpersonal skills and good verbal/written communication skills. He must be willing to work with the Elders in growing the congregation’s membership through teaching and preaching sound doctrine from the Word of God. Our ideal candidate should be married with a wife/family who faithfully serves God and works alongside him at the congregation.
Our congregation prior to the Pandemic was approximately 100 in attendance. Due to the Pandemic, the attendance is now around 85. Weekly duties would include, but not limited to, Sunday morning Bible class, Morning and Evening Worship Services, and Wednesday evening bible class. Other duties include visiting members who are sick/shut-in, working with other congregations in the area. He must show a willingness to seek and save the lost through evangelism and assisting members and guests. A degree in Bible from a Church of Christ Institution is preferred but not required.
